Britta studied Psychology and mathematics at the University of Victoria in B.C. After moving to Ontario she studied and trained at the School for the Deaf in Milton, receiving her Diploma in Residential Counseling. She then studied and received her Child and Youth Care diploma in guidance and counseling, in Ottawa.

Britta worked with adults, families and troubled youth, at the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa Carleton. She quickly moved into a management position as of Supervisor of Residential Facilities. While taking time to raise her daughters, she sat on the board of the Children’s Aid Society, the Rideau Township Arena Board, was President of the Rideau Skating Club and worked as a Competition Accountant for The Canadian Figure Skating Association.

She returned to the work force in sales and marketing with Creative Kids, Inc., a national educational toy retailer, moving progressively through various management positions. After a short contract with Health Canada, running their United Way Campaign, Britta joined Priority Management, a training and development company, as a part-time consultant and soon was managing the office as well as selling and delivering training programs.

Priority Management formed a sister company that became so successful, so fast it had to be "spun off." Britta chose to move with the new company, Successories of Canada, as Director of Administration and Retail Operations. She became General Manager the following year.

Wanting to spend more time with her family in British Columbia, Britta moved to Vancouver, accepting the position of Marketing Manager at the Priority Management International corporate offices. She was subsequently involved with the Cascadia Learning Group, developing and delivering training programs in team building, change management, creative thinking, decision making and planning, as well as implementing Strategic Planning and Strategic Renewal processes. Britta recently returned to Ottawa to work with her long time associate from Priority Management and Successories. Britta was appointed her current position of Director of the Training Division of Human Resource Systems Group in March 2001.

Clients Britta has worked with include; Heritage Canada, Pharmasave Drug Stores, Simon Fraser University, Inglewood Hospital, the Thompson Health Region, Time Wise Systems, Revenue Canada, Industry Canada, the Ottawa Senators, Bell Canada, Bell Mobility, as well as many other small and medium sized enterprises.
